Dream Eater Merry

High schooler Yumeji Fujiwara can glimpse other people’s dreams. They never come through clearly, but by sensing an “aura” he can usually tell what someone is dreaming about—an ability he treats like a harmless party trick. For Yumeji, though, one detail never changes: night after night, he’s trapped in the same recurring nightmare.

That nightmare suddenly spills into waking life when a dream demon targets him, hoping to use Yumeji’s body as a vessel to enter the real world. He’s rescued by Merry Nightmare, a fellow denizen of the dream realm who can manifest physically without a host and is searching for a way back to her own world. With more dream demons pressing into reality, Yumeji and Merry stand between the waking world and the moment when nightmares take form.
