Ceres, Celestial Legend

Long ago, the celestial maiden Ceres descended from the heavens to bathe in a stream, leaving her hagoromo—her robe and the means to return home—hanging from a nearby tree. When a man stole it and coerced her into marriage, their descendants became a bloodline where human and tennyo heritage were forever entwined.

In the present day, sixteen-year-old Aya Mikage inherits that legacy. During a birthday celebration shared with her twin brother, Aki, Aya learns her own family fears her: her grandfather intends to kill her, convinced her awakening powers could allow Ceres to reincarnate through her and bring ruin to the Mikage clan. Caught between her own will and Ceres’s presence, Aya shifts between selves again and again, relying on her protector Yuuhi to help her keep control—while a growing connection to a former employee of her grandfather threatens to complicate everything.
