On Blue Island, the Manifestation Engine has kept the world’s energy crisis at bay for the past five years. Nearby on Izu Ooshima, Akane Isshiki enjoys a calm life with her reliable younger sister Momo and their grandfather Kenjirou—one of the Engine’s creators—until that peace is shattered by the sudden arrival of the mysterious “Alone,” entities determined to destroy the facility.

When conventional forces prove unable to stop the attackers, Kenjirou entrusts Akane with a special key containing the Vivid System, granting her the power to fight back. With Aoi Futaba, Wakaba Saegusa, and Himawari Shinomiya at her side, Akane and her friends become humanity’s last line of defense against an enemy no one saw coming.
