Kekkaishi

Yoshimura Sumimura is heir to a lineage of Kekkaishi—barrier-wielding exorcists tasked with eliminating Ayakashi that slip into the human world. Drawn to the potent energy of Karasumori, the demons repeatedly target the grounds where Yoshimura’s high school stands, forcing him into nightly battles to protect his school and hometown—even if he’d much rather be spending his time baking cakes.

Fighting alongside him is Tokine Yukimura, his neighbor and childhood friend. Though their families are rival clans, the two work in sync as Ayakashi assaults come in relentless waves, each one trying to claim Karasumori’s power. With danger mounting, a mysterious organization watches from the shadows, waiting for the right moment to make its move.
