Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan

Rikuo Nura is a boy of both human and youkai blood, raised as the heir to the Nura Clan—a household of supernatural beings he’s always considered family. But outside that world, youkai are feared as violent monsters from folklore, and realizing he’s alone in seeing them differently pushes Rikuo to vow that he’ll live as an ordinary human.

Keeping that promise proves difficult. His youkai attendant follows him into daily life under the name Tsurara Oikawa, while the onmyouji Yura Keikain and his youkai-obsessed friend Kiyotsugu each pull him closer to the hidden side of the world. As rival youkai and other threats set their sights on the people he cares about, Rikuo is forced to confront his lineage as Nurarihyon’s grandson—awakening each night as a youkai and stepping toward the role of the Nura Clan’s next leader.
