Magical Warfare

Takeshi Nanase’s ordinary school routine is upended one summer morning on the way to kendo practice, when he finds an unconscious girl in an unfamiliar uniform. After helping her, he learns the unsettling truth: the world he knows exists alongside a hidden society of magic-users—and his encounter with Mui Aiba leaves him transformed into one of them.

Mui is a student at Subaru Magic Academy, where magicians are taught to control their abilities and live peacefully with regular humans. Drawn into this new reality, Takeshi joins Mui, along with Kurumi Isoshima and Kazumi Ida, and enrolls in the academy to learn how to handle their different powers and the burdens that come with them.

Not everyone wants coexistence. A violent faction known as the Ghost Trailers seeks to assert magical superiority over humans, forcing Takeshi and his friends to grow stronger while staying one step ahead. With the Trailers closing in, their training becomes a race to confront the group’s leader and stop the outbreak of a Second Great Magic War.
