A sudden rupture in the sky ushers in extradimensional invaders known as the Unknown, striking humanity with overwhelming force. To safeguard the nation’s future, Japan places all of its children into cryogenic sleep until the conflict can be brought under control.

Years later, with humanity holding a tenuous position on the Japanese front, the children are awakened—only to learn they developed “Worlds,” individualized supernatural abilities, during their long stasis. The six most powerful are appointed to lead and defend reclaimed cities: childhood friends Ichiya Suzaku and Canaria Utara in Tokyo, siblings Kasumi and Asuha Chigusa in Chiba, and Maihime Tenkawa alongside Hotaru Rindou in Kanagawa.

As the Unknown’s raids become almost routine, friction between the leaders and their deputies fuels rivalries that keep the three cities at odds. When the enemy suddenly intensifies its assaults, their only chance of holding the final defensive line is to set aside conflict and coordinate—or watch humanity’s foothold crumble.
