Set in Edo during 1783 at the height of the Tenmei era, *Onihei* follows Heizou Hasegawa, the formidable chief officer charged with protecting the city from crime and arson. As head of the department responsible for maintaining public safety, he leads the relentless pursuit of the era’s most ruthless thieves and criminals.
