But after catching a small cat girl stealing apples in a shopping district, he’s pulled into a new assignment that upends his daily life: Operation Cozy Family.

Long ago, Enka the God of Destruction was slain, yet foretold with its final breath that its child would one day bring about humanity’s end. In a futuristic Japan, every possible “child of Enka” has been gathered and placed into an improvised household, where Ouka and Kyouka—the ruler of a demon underworld—attempt to raise them as a family. Under one roof are Teika the lion, Gekka the jellyfish, Yuuka the oni, Ginka the cross-dressing mafia son, and Hyouka the bioweapon, turning everyday living into a constant, chaotic mix of comedy and sci-fi oddities.
