A lethal virus called Medousa spreads worldwide, petrifying its victims beyond recovery and pushing humanity toward collapse. Venus Gate Corporation responds with a drastic proposal: place 160 people into cryogenic sleep for as long as a century, hoping a cure will be found. Kasumi Ishiki is chosen, and despite the pain of leaving her twin sister Shizuku behind, she clings to the possibility that they’ll meet again someday.

Kasumi’s awakening brings no relief. The facility has become a thorn-choked labyrinth, and violent, unfamiliar creatures stalk the corridors. As panic claims most of the newly awakened, Kasumi and a handful of survivors press deeper into the complex, searching for answers about Medousa—and what Venus Gate may have been hiding all along.
