Sixteen-year-old Mikako Kouda is determined to launch her own fashion label, and she’s chasing that dream at the prestigious Yazawa Art School. By her side is Tsutomu Yamaguchi, her longtime childhood friend—and frequent sparring partner. Their constant arguments and easy familiarity make classmates assume there’s something more between them, but Mikako and Tsutomu brush off the idea, insisting they’re nothing but friends.

That certainty starts to waver when Tsutomu begins to resemble Ken Nakagawa, the vocalist of the hit band Manbou, and suddenly draws attention from other girls. As new popularity shifts the balance between them, the two are pushed to reconsider what they mean to each other—and where friendship ends and romance might begin.
