Long before Rikuo Nura’s time, the famed youkai Nurarihyon—commander of the “Night Parade of One Hundred Demons”—fell in love with a human woman. Their brief happiness is threatened when the formidable fox-demon Hagoromo Gitsune emerges, casting a shadow over their bond and setting the stage for a feud that won’t fade with the years.

Now, Rikuo has stepped into his role as heir to the Nura Clan. Having embraced his youkai heritage, he still has to keep the existence of youkai hidden—no easy feat with the Keikain onmyouji clan nearby and his youkai-enthusiast friend Kiyotsugu constantly circling the truth. Even so, Rikuo is determined to safeguard the people who matter to him.
