Patlabor 2: The Movie

Three years after the Babylon Project conspiracy is put to rest, Captain Kiichi Gotou’s Special Vehicles Section 2 has scattered in different directions. Gotou remains with the Patlabor unit, still working alongside Shinobu Nagumo—his trusted comrade and the object of his quiet affection.

As public doubt toward the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force deepens, a terrorist faction exploits that unease by operating from within the military, pushing the country toward destruction and widespread unrest. Nagumo uncovers a chilling link to the plot’s architect: Yukihito Tsuge, once her mentor and lover.

With the threat escalating, Gotou pulls the old team back together, with Noa Izumi once again at the controls. As they move to bring Tsuge in, Nagumo is forced to confront the weight of her past ties while the fate of Japan hangs in the balance.
