At Fujisaki Girls Academy, student council president Natsuo Maki is celebrated as the very picture of poise and refinement. That image cracks the moment Riko Kurahashi drops by the council room on an errand and catches Natsuo privately rehearsing a kiss on a pillow—an awkward secret that reveals how much she longs for a more romantic life.

Moved by Natsuo’s earnestness, Riko agrees to become her partner in a covert “Love Lab,” a personal research project devoted to studying romance through staged scenarios like “accidental” run-ins and hand-holding. Before long, the rest of the student council gets swept into the experiments as well, turning their everyday school routine into a steady stream of playful mishaps and lessons in what romance might actually mean.
